Questions for Sig/Harwood YJ Q&A
Wed, 04/29/2009 - 14:35
Hey everybody,
So here's the forum to post any questions you have about Young Junius that you'd like answered in my man-to-man Q&A session with Scott Sigler on 5/12. Scott's the interviewer and I'm the interviewee, even if he's the bigger star. So ask away. Anything you want to know or are curious about is open game. The best questions I'll answer live in the call, the rest I'll answer here for ya!
Thanks for being a part of all this!
Love.

Life in these PC times
Seth, I've always had two questions about YJ, one big - one not so big:
Not so big: Did you have to jump through any hoops to use "Miuzi Weighs a Ton"? It's the perfect clip to go with the story, but I keep expecting to hear that Chuck D caught you on the street one day and gave you a good pistol whipping.
Big: Has there been any sensitivity to a pale, skinny whiteboy like you writing about the culture of young black men in the projects - complete with the language of the community and the use of "that" word?

The roof
I know I'm late, but I've just finished listening to Young Junius, I'm just wondering after Elf lets off a shot on the roof and everyone's shooting, there's a geezer shooting at Junius from 410 - I was just wondering who it was - was it just one of rock's boys or was it someone else? I kept expecting you to come back if it was a another traitor...

Ah I see it was too subtle
Ah I see it was too subtle for me!
Glad you appreciate the British, I did love young Junius - were you thinking of doing something similar with the Czechs, or a spin off - I thought they were fantastic characters and love what Randy's doing with Vlade.

These are both great questions. The second, I'll save for the interview. The first... let me just say that if YJ ever got HUGE, there might be a problem there. On the other hand, if anyone's going to be a fan of sampling and DRM, I think it'd be Chuck D.
Flava Flav? He's just clueless, I imagine.
