Music from the various podcasts on this site.

Madvillain's Madvillainy -- The album that all the JACK PALMS CRIME theme songs comes from. Definitely "the bomb." More info at stonesthrow.com buy it there or buy it on iTunes.

The track "Lean Back" by Fat Joe and Terror Squad is the song that the JP2 theme song opens with. Buy on iTunes.

In JP2-Episode 8, the song "Angel" by Massive Attack plays in the background during some heavy events. Buy on iTunes.

Theme music for JACK PALMS 3 features music by Curtis Mayfield from the movie Superfly. Buy here on iTunes.

The opening for Young Junius comes from the album Yo! Bum Rush the Show (1987) by Public Enemy.  Guess what? It's not available at iTunes. Lemme know if you find a place you can get it online.

Twitter Characters

Ok, we're going really go so far with the twitter thing. We have Vlade, Al, Alexi, Junius, Freeman and Jane.

Who else do we need? Obviously we need Jack at some point, but who else?

Here are a few I think we need
Gail Ponds Posey
Elf
Joe Buddha
David (the Czech)
Shaw

any others?

Crime TV shows?

Seth's mentioned some of his favourite crime shows, but one I'm not sure Seth's seen yet (and, man, he totally should! :) is "Life", on NBC.

It had a great first season last year, and I just watched part of the season 2 opener and ... damn. It's even better.

In that season 2 opener, the cinematography is movie-quality, and the writing is beautiful. :) It's smart and funny, and if you like the samurai code aspect of "Ghost Dog", you'll find some wonderful zen thoughts woven into "Life".

I thought I really liked "Life" in season 1. Just 10 minutes into season 2, I bloody LOVE this show.

So, the question is, what do *you* think Seth should be watching (and the rest of us, too!)?

Busted Caps

Hello.

I am one of the admins of this site. Yesterday I set up the new Busted Caps feature on the site.

This feature is very much in the experimental stage as the software being used has not been totally developed for use yet. It seems to work fine so far though.

I have also added  'Invite a Friend'  to the site. By selecting 'Invite a Friend' under 'Promote' in the top menu you can invite friends to join the site. This will earn you the following Busted Caps points:

Send an invite: 10 points

Invitee accepts your invitation and signs up: 15 points

Points to Invitee after joining: 5 points

Here are the other points you can get in Busted Caps:

Make a comment: 5 points

Start a Forum topic: 5 points

More points options will be available soon.

Enjoy!

Two questions for everyone...

A. Which Jack Palms podiobook is your favorite: Jack Wakes Up, This is Life or Czechmate?

After going back and listening to all three, my choice is Jack Wakes Up. Granted you meet some interesting characters in the latter two but, this is the beginning, the introduction to Jack's World, baby!

B. Other than Seth's works what are your top three favorite podiobooks?

I know three is a small number and ranking is always difficult but here's how I feel at the moment I'm typing this.

#1. Crescent by Phil Rossi - not only is the story kick ass, he really sets the mood with his use of ambient sounds and original music, visit crescentstation.net
#2. The Rookie by Scott Sigler - great story, great production, his best in my opinion, visit scottsigler.com
#3. 118 Migration by Will Ross - there are a lot of zombie stories out there, in my opinion its the best, visit oneeighteen.libsyn.com
Honorable mentions: Nocturnal (Scott Sigler), Children of the Gods (Chris Mack, childrenofthegods.net), The 7th Son Trilogy (J.C. Hutchins, jchutchins.net)
