Back from the sticks!
In other news, I'm back from the farms of Western Mass (the Berkshires), rested, read-up, and not-quite ready for more action. But I'll cover that in the next Hot Tub Castâ„¢. For now, let me catch you up on some cool news and coverage that surfaced while I was out of comish:
1) Paul Kilduff did a great interview piece with me in his column for THE EAST BAY MONTHLY here in Berkeley. Here's the August edition of the Kilduff file: "On-Demand Novelist"
2) Next we've got a cool interview posted by author David McAfee over on his site MCAFEE LAND. This one is "13 questions for Seth Harwood."
3) I told you about the article in WIRED UK by Martyn Casserly. (See below)
4) Let me bring your attention to this article by Nicholson Baker writing in the NEW YORKER. He gives his honest assessment of the Amazon Kindle, and no, it's not too bright.
5) Last up, we got a piece in Yahoo Tech about using Free in the land of eBooks. Can you dig it?
OK. That's what we've missed in the past few days/a week. I'm going back to bed for a while and soon you'll be hearing frm me in THE HOT TUB!!! Thanks for all your emails, feedback and awesome support in the last bit. I'll be sharing some of these in the next cast! ---yer boy

WTF?
Kindle
Yeah, that comment was freakin' funny. Can't say I'll be buying one, not after that article...they are not available here anyway.
Amazon vs. Apple!
yeah, the kindle piece from the NYer was great, but last night I read an even better article from Fast Company about how Apple is going to knock amazon and the kindle out of the space.
Fact: if you're carrying a whole buncha things, you'd rather have just one. And if you've got one piece of tech that JUST does reading... yeah, it's not gonna go with ya!
Here's the article: http://www.fastcompany.com/magazine/137/the-evolution-of-amazon.html
