I don't know how relevant this really is, or if it was just a mistake in the writing since Seth is writing as he is recording and he isn't perfect
No, wait... he is perfect
(gasping for air while head is in a vise)
I'm sorry oh gracious Palms Father
(eye pops out)
Oh fuck am I sorry...
Oh, the twists and turns of a writer's mind. I like stuff like this because I lie stories that all about the characters. Just think of all different avenues that can be explored and options that one little detail can bring about. Since we know a little about Ponds as an adult, it going be interesting to see how the events of Young Junius is going to shape his world and who is as well as who he becomes.
Genius! I didnt recall it until you pointed it out. This detail strikes a certain point with me, and it does make me curious as to what would make Junius decide on which name he will affiliate himself with. . .
Ponds, of course, but WHY!!!
... or maybe he had a brief flirtation with acting and joined the Screen Actors' Guild and there was already a Junius Posey[*], so he chose his mother's maiden name as a screen name/stage name, and then it grew on him, and ...
Ok, not likely. It would be a little silly/contrived to have him be like Jack Palms in that respect, perhaps.
[*] Yeah right.
Its all speculation on our parts anyway... I wouldn't expect you to give out details on things we haven't found out yet since you're further along writing than podcasting the novel.
Of course, if we reach the end and don't have answers, I would expect that you wouldn't remain mum any longer.

A small detail I noticed this week: Someone referred to Junius as Junius Posey. Of course, had I thought it out, I could have realized that it makes sense that Junius' last name would currently be Posey, since that is his dad's last name and his mom currently has that last name too, but it does make for an interesting detail: this means that some point, Junius decides that he his no longer his father's son (or that he is more so his mother's son) and actually chooses to become Junius Ponds. Very cool, Seth. Very cool.
