Norma vs. Victoria

What was the rationale behind switching Norma's name to to Victoria? I believe you said the publisher wanted the change but, why?

Why?
I made the change on my own. Fact is, when it came down to the print version, Norma just felt too 60's to me and I wanted a slicker sounding LA-type name. i'm not sure if Victoria IS that, but it felt a whole lot closer.

LA Type name
Maybe it should be Britnay or Paris, or Lindsay......

Who knows...
I think maybe I was just used to Norma, who knows. Victoria I guess I can deal with, also. I can't wait to get one of those print Palms in my hands! Next year...

I'm used to it now
At first I really didn't like Victoria, but I guess I'm used to it now. I think in the podcast version it sounded a little too long so it threw off the rhythm of the story for me.

Another thought
Hey, to liven up the thread a bit, here's a thought: in the next Jack Palms novel, if there is one, do you think Victoria will make an in-person appearance? I'm hoping so. We were teased with the burnt bed speculation in This Is Life, and she's been mentioned a lot, but so far we haven't actually met her. Who knows what could happen. (of course it's up to Seth whether a fourth book even happens)

Norma vs Victoria
I didn't like the change personally... the personification of the names and the images they conjured I thought Norma worked better... at least in my head
And one would have to think Gannon will definitely be back... Seth can't kill off his own wife

...
...yet? Haha, now we're getting into JP4 speculation. But I always did dislike the routine where a sequel to something that appeared to have a happy ending picks up a few years later and the protagonist's life is shit. I'd prefer to watch it go to shit if it's going to happen.
But as I always say (I need to stop repeating myself), I do trust Seth to write what he plans to write.

Not claiming to know Seth's mind
but I bet before too long we see Maxine again... that bitch has some beef with Jack... I want to see a catfight (or threesome) with Gannon and Maxine

As we talked at The Phoenix yesterday
you made Norma Sexy again. Just think of Norma Jean, she was hot. and you made the name hot again.
Stop second guessing yourself.
You Rock keep up the excellent work.
