Two questions for everyone...

A. Which Jack Palms podiobook is your favorite: Jack Wakes Up, This is Life or Czechmate?
After going back and listening to all three, my choice is Jack Wakes Up. Granted you meet some interesting characters in the latter two but, this is the beginning, the introduction to Jack's World, baby!
B. Other than Seth's works what are your top three favorite podiobooks?
I know three is a small number and ranking is always difficult but here's how I feel at the moment I'm typing this.
#1. Crescent by Phil Rossi - not only is the story kick ass, he really sets the mood with his use of ambient sounds and original music, visit crescentstation.net
#2. The Rookie by Scott Sigler - great story, great production, his best in my opinion, visit scottsigler.com
#3. 118 Migration by Will Ross - there are a lot of zombie stories out there, in my opinion its the best, visit oneeighteen.libsyn.com
Honorable mentions: Nocturnal (Scott Sigler), Children of the Gods (Chris Mack, childrenofthegods.net), The 7th Son Trilogy (J.C. Hutchins, jchutchins.net)

Best Jack Palms
All three books are great but Jack Wakes Up is where it all started as Wagnersm said so it is my pick.
Other podcasts I have enjoyed are:
One Among the Sleepless
New World Orders
7th Son Trilogy

Sweet
Couldn't tell ya a favorite Palms novel... I really like how the whole trilogy comes together as one literary body. Czechmate is the fastest-paced, Jack Wakes Up is the original, This is Life brought some interesting twists with Freeman and introduced Gannon (Ganon? sp?)... it's really hard to pick one there, so I'm choosing not to.
As for other podiobooks, it seems like every time I listen to a new one, I enjoy it equally. I owe a huge load of loyalty to J.C. Hutchins and the 7th Son trilogy, as it was my first podiobook (actually first three), and his promotion got me over here to the Jack Palms Crime series. I also really enjoyed the superhero stories of Mur Lafferty and Matthew Wayne Selznick. There are many more, but off the top of my head those definitely come to mind (let's not forget Billibub Baddings by Tee Morris).

Hard to choose, but...
Jack Wakes Up, because I was just getting to know Jack (and in the present tense, too) and we got into this mess together. I love the intricate story of This Is Life and the pure adrenaline of Czechmate. Each story built on the previous one and never weakened or disappointed, but I gotta go with the first book, when I discovered Jack and his world.
Three podiobooks that are my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th favorite? That's easy: JC Hutchins' 7th Son books I, II and III.

It's gotta be
Jack Wakes Up for me. I really loved all three, but the first is the one that got me hooked. It felt really fleshed out and thought about. Not that the next two are not just as well thought out, I just really liked the rhythm and flow of the first one.
As for other podcast books:
Sigler doesn't count because he is the FDO and it goes without saying
1. One Among the Sleepless - this book is crazy good!
2. The Corridor - the writer/reader only goes by "Zan"...
3. Playing for Keeps
and I have to add:
The Curious Education of Epitome Quirkstandard.
these are the ones that stick in my head...

For my first post (hello
For my first post (hello all!) I'm going to have to be the oddball and go with This Is Life. That's the *true* descent down the rabbit hole, and though you already know Jack and company from the first book, that just makes things pull even harder in this one.
Three favorite others? Well...
Hutchins, J.C., 7th Son (I'm counting the whole things as one)
Morris, Tee, Billibub Baddings and the Case of the Singing Sword
Nemcoff, Mark Yoshimoto, Shadow Falls: Badlands
Lots of others, too...

True, true
You can't go wrong with This is Life. It holds interesting memories for me, as I listened to it while cruising the streets of Vienna this summer. Come to think of it, I may totally agree about the rabbit hole. I also like how This is Life is the glue in the middle that makes the whole trilogy a perfect story in three parts - each part has its own story and resolution, yet it takes all three to resolve the greater overall arc (which, I guess, is Akakovich).
p.s. no idea if I spelled Alexi's last name right there... after all, it is audio!

Jack Palms III
Love me some Gannon baby! Makes me want to be like her!
As far as the other top three podiobooks - I'll chose one from three different writers
1. Nocturnal
2. Quarter Share
3. 7th Son

Jack Wakes Up
I have to say that JWU was my favorite. I liked all three, but if I had to rank them in order it would be JWU, Czechmate, This is Life
As far as the top 3 non-SH podiobooks:
7th Son Trilogy by Hutchins
Nocturnal by Sigler
Tie - Heaven Series by Lafferty, and Solar Clipper series by Lowell

Those are all awesome
Those are all awesome books.
7th Son was my introduction to (long-form) podcast fiction, and I love it (and J.C. is a wonderful guy). Siggy's really a good apple too, even if he is SICK! (Yep, I really enjoy all his stuff). Mur is awesomely Mur. Love the Heaven series and PfK. Nathan Lowell is like a crack dealer--with some of the mellowest, most enjoyable crack out there. I keep waiting for the next one (thanks for 5 awesome books, Nathan!). Nathan and Mur are wonderful people too. =) I love all those guys. They're a load of fun to chat with, hang out with, etc.
Now, to add to that, someone already mentioned The Failed Cities Monologues. Damn, that is great stuff too (Matt Wallace has serious chops!).
People have also mentioned Tee Morris (the nicest fellow one is likely to meet strutting around in ren faire gear at a sci-fi convention :D) and his Billibub series, not to mention Morevi.
To add one *nobody* has mentioned:
Singularity, by Bill DeSmedt.
I loved it. It's a fantastic book, backed by one heck of a lot of smarts and a real passion for the science which forms the basis for the story. The first episode or two, the reading starts out a little dry, but Bill really warms up to it and it becomes even more enjoyable to listen to soon enough. He's (sensing a trend here?) also, like everybody else I've mentioned, is friendly, accessible, and an all-around nice guy. Plus, did I mention extremely smart? Hm, yep, that applies to all of them too.
For some light, fun sci-fi with a rather over-active libido (what is it with the English podcasters out there?!), give Paul S. Jenkins' "The Plitone Revisionist" a listen. I don't know Paul well at all, but I did meet him at Dragon*Con, and he seems to be a very pleasant fellow. :) (Little did I know about his novel being so ... non-G-rated).
Um, ok, so that wasn't such a short list, nor a short post.

My T O P
I think Jack Wakes Up. I was hooked from the start. I played it on my touch in my car, I never heard Seth before and I had recently downloaded several podibooks looking for something you can't really put into words(but if I had to it was the voice, the story and production values) I was a fan of Nocturnal and I compared most books to it so I deleted most of what downloaded but not JWU. It started with MF Doom(I knew if he used that it had to be special) and now here I am, a proud Palms Daddy!
My top 3: 7th Son, Infected and Playing For Keeps.

Tough call
but I'd probably pick the Czechmate. The pace of the story gained momentum steadily as it went along. By the time we made it to the third book I was practically panting with anticipation, waiting for that next hit to drop.
Top 3 other options:
Still think Earthcore was Sigler's best (though we have to see how Nocturnal wraps - so far it is terrific)
The Failed Cities Monologues by Matt Wallace is riveting
Crusade by Greg Crites is some first rate non-SF word wrangling

I'd say Jack Wakes Up
Mike
I'd say Jack Wakes Up
Mike Bennett's One Among The Sleepless
Darker Projects' Byron Chronicles
And I haven't stumbled upon a third I like yet, but I'll keep you posted.

Sigler? Hutchins?
Have you not heard 7th Son or Infected? Or are they just not ones "you like"? If the former, both are top-quality podcast novels you're sure to enjoy, by two of the kings of podcast fiction.

Sigler's best work
Personally, Infected isn't my favorite...
Now, I'm not saying that I don't like Infected, far from it. So far, I've only had time to listen to the following from Scott: Infected, Nocturnal, Earthcore, and Bloodcast 1 & 2. I have not had the chance to listen to The Rookie or Ancestor yet, but will before long.
I think Scott's best work has been Nocturnal, but maybe I think that because it was the first one I heard, and was the first non-Lafferty novel I listened to.
I know it might be blasphemous to not have listened to Rookie or Ancestor, but I have 60+ FULL podiobooks downloaded, and have listened to about a quarter of them so far... it just takes a while to catch up.

hmm...
Infected's actually the only one I've listened to, and I also chose to mention it due to how current it is right now... after all, it's actually in stores (if they ordered it... dang store didn't have the paperback when I went this week) and the sequel comes out in December! I do plan on checking out more Sigler stuff soon... probably Nocturnal because I like author chit-chat and it seems all his previous books have already gone podiobooks.com-only (which I dislike happening... even if it's been months or years, I like hearing what was going on with the author at the time).

Some good stuff
but Not the same as our Mentor-Hero, Mr. Harwood.
Both are fine podcasts and good material. I recommend checking them out along with Phil Rossi, Ed Talbot, Chuck Tomasi, Tee Morris, PG Holyfield and slew of others

I would have to say that Jack
I would have to say that Jack Wakes Up is my favourite cause it's the first one.
And for podiobooks? That's a bit of a tough choice for me, but I would have to say these are the top three;
#1. Morevi by Tee Morris
#2. Nocturnal by Scott Sigler
#3. Murder at Avedon Hill
Honorable mentions: Metamor City by Chris Lester, Chasing the Bard by Pip Ballantine, Crescent by Phil Rossi.

Hmm...
I'd have to say the original JWU, and my other top three are:
-Dunkin the Vampire Slayer series by Greg Criters
-Murder at Avedon Hill by PG Holyfield (the cliff-hangering bastard)
-Solar Clipper Series by Nathan Lowell
Well, really, those are my favorites for this month. I've enjoyed many, including Sigler, Lafferty, Hutchins, and others.

faves
My fave JP has to be JWU! It's been said above, but the original is my fave... I don't think it is necessarily better than the other two, but I really like meeting and getting to know Jack.
As a full time student I don't have a whole lot of time to read/listen to non-school-related books. However, I wouldn't be a Palms Daddy if not for J. Daniel Sawyer's Antithesis Book I. Check it out if you like sci-fi or spy stories. antithesis.jdsawyer.net.
Peace to all Palms Mommas and Daddys! Cappo here I come....

Favorite of the Jack Series
My favorite is Jack Wakes Up. I did it kinda round-about, by buying and reading the book first, then listening to the podcast. Both kicked ass, but I think I liked the podcast best.
My favorites other than Seth's works:
1. 7th Son Trilogy by J.C. Hutchins - Great story line and loaded with cliffhangers.
2. The Rookie by Scott Sigler - Football, organized crime and weird space critters...how can you go wrong?
3. Nocturnal by Scott Sigler - lots of gore and a good story line.
My Honorable mention: Brave Men Run (Selznick), Playing for Keeps (Lafferty), Crescent (Rossi)

That's a hard call to make. I
That's a hard call to make. I really liked the 7th Son series. I feel that Young Junius does a great job of getting the feel of minority ghetto life - it's more than a shoot-em-up, it makes you feel the life. Sigler's Contagious really humps and I'm waiting for the last book in that series. Problem is that there's just so much great stuff out there how do you pick a top three?

Hmmm
Well Jack Wakes Up was my favorite of the three. Tho the third one was cool too with the ending and all.
My top 3 non-Seth Harwood podcast books would be THE ROOKIE by Scott Sigler, 7th SON DESCENT by J.C. Hutchins, and CRESCENT by Phil Rossi.
