Hoo Rah!! Episode 11 of Young Junius is HERE. (Right-click to download.)
This week you'll hear me give shout outs to some great new listeners, explain the new roles of Palms Soldier™ and Palms Cappo™, as well as wax nostalgic about Lollapalooza 1994, Smashing Pumkins, and my hatred for Josh Grobin. It's just a mere seven months from the second-coming of JACK WAKES UP and you can bet I'm getting excited.
Plus, I just got my check for the second installment of advance money in from Three Rivers and in these tough economic times, you know I'm'a put it to good use!
Story so far this week by Britain's own Mike Bennett, Author of One Among the Sleepless and Hall of Mirrors.

And for you Netflix lovers, I present this week one of my ultimate favorite movies: The Long Goodbye, starring Eliot Gould, Directed by Robert Altman, and based on the novel by Raymond Chandler. Can you beat that? No. You can't. Believe me. Or watch it and find out!

Aww... dang!
(spoilers, maybe) Cool! So, a simple mistake could really start the war going... this could get really interesting from now. I also loved the character interaction between Elf and the boy at the end of the chapter.
Tired of the chatter!!!!!!??????
Thats B.S.! Chatter is what separates good podcasters from all the others! Its part of the experience, part of the ride. Good chatter is gold, and you Mr. Harwood need a safe for all your gold. In the beginning or the end, DO NOT STOP OR CUT IT SHORT!
P.S. Great episode, its amazing how just one accidental shot could stir up some stuff. But thats te way it goes in the ghetto! Cant wait for the next episode.
Joe
Agreed
Yeah, the commentary is important as we get some insight into the process and what is happening with our favorite son. So Seth, chat away , baby
Chatter!
I have to agree on the chatter... keep it coming! That's why Podiobooks exists, so people can avoid it if they so choose. I, for one, really enjoy chatter... the more, the better! When podcasters say "but I won't keep you any longer..." I tend to think "no, don't worry, keep it coming!" It helps with the more personal connection, too.
Hey Nathaniel!!!
Why yes...
Grobin?
Are you kidding? LOL
He could give ole Jack a run for his money in the women department. I heard Jane Gannon has back stage passes.......
Concert
I'm with you Seth... Grobin is an asshat. Billy Corgin screwed the pooch after about 1997 (post Melon Collie) and has been sucking it up ever since
The Long Goodbye
One of my favorite films. I love the use of the Hollywood Tower and the Malibu Colony.
How does the crew feel about the ending of the movie being different from the book? Did Leigh Brackett take too many liberties with the story?
Good
I'm good with it. I like both of the two different endings.
The one from the movie might even be cooler...
(The very end when he sees the girl... sweet.)
Gould is just fricking cool in the movie. Who can touch that?
Elliot Gould
Don't forget that he was the original Hawkeye Pierce. MASH always makes me laugh (except for the last few seasons when Alda turned into a political statement sans humor)
Never
Been properly recognized for his acting ability. The man is so ggod that his performances are always understated. A natural deserving of an Academy Award.
Goodbye Brains
Oh man! Got my brains blown out in YJ11...damn!
Yeah you did!!
Yeah you did!!
Blaze of Glory
Yes!!
Seth! You shouted me out! WOOHOO!! THANKS!
I love your podcasts and stories. Keep doin what you're doin and I'll be trying to spread the word here in Pittsbugh!
Best part of being a fan
Chatter away!!!!
Guns a blazen!
