Yeah
Great Ep. I'm liking how you keep us hanging here. Gotta know what happens next.
FDO
The cameo by Sigler in Y.J. 7 is hilarious! He is going to hate you for this.
Hey, he totally deserved it
Hey, he totally deserved it for having J.C. show up in Nocturnal for a moment only to get kneed in the tenders. =)
Sigler
I'm new to this universe and what I have heard so far is absolutely great. Oh and by the way the FDO is going to be pissed after he hears YJ7. I can't wait to hear his response.
Sigler? Who's that?
Sigler? Who's that? I don't know who you guys are talking about.
Or, for that matter, what you're talking about in Ep. 7.
But... on the other hand, if there's another podcaster who should listen to ep 7, then you guys... or someone... should send it to him. My guess is he'd want to hear it!
Heh.

Good Episode
Enjoyed it Seth... I thought it odd that you described in detail a t-shirt that might or might not exist for roughly 20 years... is this a whole back to the future type thing?
Map coincidence?
Ok, is it just me, and maybe I'm the first to notice this on the map, but there is a Jerry's Pond right across from the Rindge Towers...
To Randy
1) I took some liberty there with the T-shirt in question--though I confess I have no idea what T-shirt you're talking about--and put it in knowing I broke the plane of the past chronology. But, let's assume that a certain short podcaster did have a BMW (he doesn't), then of course he'd be going back to 1987 to buy his weed. He's just that kind of dude. ;-)
Also, yeah, I just wanted to throw him into the book.
2) "On Jerry's Pond": yes, it's a real place. No, it has nothing to do with Jerry Scullion. In fact, I'd be hesitant to really call this a pond. Imagine a crappy swamp with reeds all around it and a fence all around that. You can see old shopping carts sticking up out of the water/mud from where people somehow got them over the fence. There's garbage sticking up out of the water. An old potato chip bag floats by. You can see the remains of an old, rusty bike. If you actually went into the water, my guess is the middle would just come up past your knee.
That's Jerry's pond. Anyone want to go fishing?
The Pond
Be glad it's not Randy's Pond... there'd be a bumper from a 1968 Mercury Monterrey, the warehouse surplus of Snow records and the head of Barney the Dinosaur. Ok, so maybe it would be a good thing...
That is a vivid and
That is a vivid and horrifying image. :)
You know, you have me
You know, you have me convinced. Scott really *would* go back in time to 1987 to buy his weed. I can hear him clearly in my head saying, "Only a *douche* buys weed in the present. How dumb can you be? Much easier in 1987. What? You didn't know that my *other* closet is a time machine?"
Heh.
Not that Scott would ever buy weed, but if he *were* going to, I think you're right!

Great Episode, this story just gets better and better. You've got us hanging on the edge of our seats. Love the Map, I'll have to check it out closer, when I have more time...
Yeah, same here. The map is
Yeah, same here. The map is indeed awesome. :) The combined rockingness of Google and Seth's story. It really gives some extra flavour (this haz a flavur?) to see the places from the story, even if it is crazy 20-years-in-the-future satellite photos. ;)
Help?
So, the "cameo" totally passed me by. Can someone point me to the approximate point in the episode where it happened? I usually catch these things.
As I recall....
It seems like it was more towards the end of the episode.
OK start about
17:30 into the story. That's where the description of a white guy with an arched eyebrow starts and it goes on from there.
Then about
21:20 into the episode you start getting into the crazy shirt!
Thanks. I'm redownloading
Thanks. I'm redownloading the episode right now.
