JACK PALMS 3 Fuck the World! :-) I just finished JP3, and I think I enjoyed listening to it the most. It seems like most stuff we've been getting lately that's action oriented is pretty lacking in story, but this one was pretty balanced. It's definitely cool to read a story that's more or less centered around shooting and kicking ass, but not have it be so utterly brainless that you need to go read some classic british literature afterwards.

I just wanted to comment on a recent episode. I had a lot of trouble with the torture scene. This is totally not personal, i'm a fan of Chandler, but not of the darker noire stuff, like John D. Macdonald. And maybe this is something Seth wants to explore, and that's fine. Thankfully the scene was reasonably short and didn't cross too many episodes. But I kind of wondered whether I should expect more, because, well, Alexi is dead right, is it something we should expect to see revisited?

What a great story. I've been watching The Wire on DVD and Young Junius has the same flavor that makes The Wire so compelling. Of course, you are an SOB for having it end where it did but I'm hooked on wanting to follow his backstory. --Mack Lundy
